Jason Shore Celebrates One Year at Stern Perkoski Mendez

REQUEST A CONSULTATION

It’s been a year since we welcomed Jason Shore as a partner to our firm. In this short time, he’s built a reputation with our client base for being empathetic, attentive, thorough and fiercely loyal. Jason specializes in a multitude of divorce and family law services and is deeply passionate about immigration law.

Jason’s expertise and positive energy are invaluable to our team, and we’re grateful to work alongside him. We’re excited to share Jason’s reflections on the past year in the full interview below.

What is one of your greatest learnings since starting with Stern Perkoski Mendez in 2022?

Jason: I am incredibly grateful for the inherent teamwork and culture of support that exists at SPM. In my prior firm, I was typically the only attorney on my cases. Here at SPM, there is usually a partner and an associate or two partners working on each case. When cases call for more than one attorney, it feels great to know I’m backed by an exceptional team.

What is something you value in the workplace?

Jason: I’ve had clients with very complex discovery matters. This type of research requires collaboration, and it’s a true pleasure working with my colleagues to get to the root of a case. I value this team-oriented approach, as well as good attorney-client communication. I also enjoy spending time with other members of the firm outside of the office—something I don’t take for granted!

What is one of the most important things for clients to know about working with you on an immigration case?

Jason: Many of my immigration clients are coming to me after experiencing severe trauma. I want them to know that working with me is safe and that I am fully committed to helping them reach their goals. I encourage everyone to be completely honest and forthcoming about their history and circumstances. I know that’s not always easy, but every single detail matters and enables me to help them to the best of my ability.

What are some of your most rewarding moments with a client this past year?

Jason: Helping clients obtain their permanent resident card (also known as a green card) is really rewarding. When people are seeking this status, it is often because they are trying their hardest to turn a bad situation into a good one—and to live a happy life.

I’ve witnessed tears of joy and pure elation when clients from war-torn countries hear the words “approved.” I’ve had multiple clients tell me I saved their life. There is nothing more rewarding than playing a part in their success and their path to a brighter future.

I’d also say winning custody trials. As a father, I empathize with parents who want the best for their kids. Helping them find resolution and peace of mind is always an incredible experience.

What goals do you have for your practice for next year?

Jason: My biggest goal is to keep improving people’s lives. I love helping clients find the light at the end of the tunnel. I also hope to litigate more successful asylum and temporary protected status applications—they’re both rewarding and difficult.

Jason is currently accepting new clients. If you’d like to work with Jason, please request a free consultation online or give us a call today.
